Turkey through a straw certainly sound more interesting, if unappetizing.

Cute little noses in the last panel. Makes you want to beep ’em.

Xmas decorations have been up since Halloween and the stores are already selling Valentines candy! ☹️

The famously notorious song for fiddle / violin as performed on a squeaky honking oboe

On an oboe, it would be playing turkey through a straw. A very small straw.

Played that song in my youth on a mouth harp at an Exchange Place Market (think pioneer settlement setting in the 70’s) along with a banjo player, a guitar player, and a hammer dulcimer player.

A friend was in a car accident and was thrown out of the car. No broken bones but she had to have her jaw wired shut. Turkey and whatever through a straw for a month or so.

Am now wondering (again) why “Turkey in the Straw” is the song played by the ice cream trucks in my area. (It’s one of my favorite songs to play on my accordion, but if I get too happy and whirl around during the chorus I could really throw my back out!)

Used to be what astronauts had at Thanksgiving. The ones on the ISS have a more civilized version made from freeze-dried cutlets.
