    A worthy goal, young Petey.

The underneath of Petey’s bed would make an intriguing shoebox diorama.

He should consider a career at the American Museum of Natural History.

I can see it now: The Peter Otterloop, Jr., Diorama Museum of World History! A massive modernist structure completely dominating the small town of Cul de Sac (probably designed by Frank Gehry)!

What is the purpose of panel 1 in this strip?

A connection to the previous strips and a reason for Alice to be in Petey’s room.

And to give Petey the opportunity to congratulate Alice on her neurosis.

Up here in WI, maybe spiders, but more likely moths and larder beetles. In FL, roaches, roaches, and roaches.

I can interpret the first panel several ways: (1) Petey isn’t listening, (2) Petey’s sarcastic, (3) Petey wishes ill on Alice, or (4) Petey thinks fear is good for survival. I’ll go with 4.

Is this a strip from several years before? Are the strips being repeated instead of having guest cartoonists?
