Carla has two moms? Either I missed a lot in this strip or this is their first appearance.

What better way to introduce the fact that Carla has two moms – with a guy-bashing joke. This was one of my favorite strips until today.

I could be mom and grandma.

I have become quite found of this strip. Fun stuff!

On December 15, Miles calls the white-haired one “Mrs. Nichols.” This takes place in the 1980s, so the two women couldn’t be married. From the wording of today’s comic, I’m thinking there is no dad in the picture. Therefore, I assume this is a household with 3 generations of women.

Or it could be Mom and Grandma [neighbor or friend] and Dad is somewhere else at the moment.

Can we just read the story and enjoy it without layering all sorts of social sturm und drang on it. Let Tauhid continue the arc and we will all find out what is going on with out getting our knickers in a twist. He has a knack for handling sensitive material in a reasoned fashion ala “A Problem Like Jamal”.

Max from Phoebe and her Unicorn also has two moms. Also, boys aren’t quite as exhausting as girls. Especially ones that throw you in front of the bus if their grade is in danger.

I’m mean, this isn’t historically accurate. Most families were totally against LGTVQ back when
