Yeah, like the 14 yr old that shot 2 teachers, and 2 students today.

So I’m guessing this will be the first place the cops will look.

After todaiy’s mass shooting in a high school by a 14 year old killing 2 students and 2 teachers, I don’t think this is humorous at all.

Shoot. Don’t you hate when that happens?

Bad timing….

Mass shootings… Police shootings… Gang shootings… high mortality rate because of expensive health care… Does anyone else suspect that there’s a conspiracy to reduce the population?

Good ole retail outlets for stuff designed to kill. GOD BLESS AMERICA, LAND THAT I LOVE. Yes indeedy. Gotta uphold that 2nd Amendment. It helps with the body counts.

Sometimes dark humor has a purpose for irony and social commentary. Pro and con both have children, family and friends who were just living their lives. No one deserves this.

Not humorous or pertinent. Don’t recall ever hearing of a gun store owner going on a “rampage”. Seems like it’s kids who take their parent’s weapons.

Evidently you don’t need to wait ‘til you AR-15 to get a gun, 14 will do.

Many are commenting about the bad timing but Mike, like most cartoonists, has to submit his comics months ahead of time. I’ve been there myself. Many times. In fact, sometimes I think I can inadvertently predict the future.

As a victim of gun violence I do not find this funny. The timing of the cartoon is immaterial to me. YMMV

The Republican senators respond to each public shooting with a dismissive “Too soon”. Yet there’s always another around the corner

There is no question that we are well past the time that something must be done to stop these mass shootings. While I may not be smart enough to find an answer, I do recognize so many, including the media, who are wasting time by villainizing the weapon used rather than the cause of the shooting. Fully automatic weapons were outlawed in the U.S. in 1933. To be an “assault rifle” it must have fully automatic capabilities. The AR15 is not fully automatic. Modifying it or any other weapon to be fully automatic is illegal. While the AR15 looks menacing, it’s function is the same as any semi-automatic rifle used for hunting. And a hunting round, like a 30-06, is more powerful than the round from an AR15. Stop wasting time on the tool used, and spend our valuable time on the tool user.

For discussion purposes, rather than appeal the 2nd amendment and deprive hundreds and thousands of lawful individuals the right to bear arms, how about appealing the 8th amendment and apply some cruel and unusual punishment to the unlawful criminals that do things like shoot up a school? The longer and more excruciating and public the punishment the better. One trial and one appeal, one year time limit then apply the sentence.

This is supposed to be funny? Ugh!

There have been 22 school shootings in the U.S. this year – so far.

Not to worry – The FBI knows of him.

The timing for this is perfect. To far too many Republicans, anything that slows access to guns — like a closed gun store — is far worse than dead children. This comic is a good reminder of that.
