Well, Sam has stumbled again. He fell for Phishface’s little deception and got himself taken before backup arrived. Since this has now happened twice in a row, I think Sam will be needing a disciplinary hearing and some remediation on safe procedure….
I like Sam enough that I DON’T like seeing him being taken so easily. Sure, he was undercover but it seems like he was being somewhat careless. Sam’s no Chuck Norris, but I’d expect him to put up a better fight. That’s okay though, as we know help is on the way.
In my opinion, I think Sam has made 3 blunders in this investigation. The first was not stalling for time until the rest of the MCU arrived. He could have delayed by telling Chum that he had to use the gent’s room before waiting for Phishface. /// The second was by not holding them at gun point once Phishface arrived on the scene. While telling them that they needed to take a ride downtown to HQ for questioning. /// Lastly, by agreeing to the name of the virus. He should have just said, “I don’t know the name, all I know is that my computer crashed on me.”
Great twist! I’m sure the bad guys would pay a lot to be able to monitor Tracy’s communications. I really like the art and coloring of today’s strip. Outstanding.

I would think that DT would have learned from the Stiletto incident and not let Sam go undercover solo. He seems to be developing a habit of getting himself captured by the Bad Guys. At least this time the cavalry, in the form of MCU, is on the way…

It is tragic that Phishface is so talented, yet blind to the money he could be making legitimately. He is trying to scam the “system”, but will end up worse off than the lowest tech worker. Maybe after his inevitable humiliation, he will repent, like Mole?
There is another theory about where the word “copper” comes from, and it is that it is of British origin and stands for Constable On Patrol. What do you think?
