Oh, Morin….. for once in your career, I don’t think you picked the right event to mirror what’s going on in Florida.…but that’s just MHO.

Government gravy jobs (positions) don’t count.

Oh, please, alcors. Reagan and Bush got good job numbers by using government spending (deficit spending, in their case), to create hiring by expanding the size of government. It always works, and those are better jobs than in the private sector, and many are more productive. When the GOP blocked Obama’s jobs bill and we LOST government jobs, it just proved the point. If you like shrinking government by 500,000 jobs that’s great, but don’t complain about unemployment being high. Conservatives have this weird thing where defense spending creates jobs but teaching, policing, and alternative energy magically don’t. It’s complete b.s., like trickle-down economics; not supported by a single piece of data or economic theory.

Republicans have called for a boycott of the guy’s pizzeria. Nice..Even at a small business mom-and-pop level, the Republicans make gold turn to sh*t.

The guy at the pizza parlor was doing okay, and employing people. His enthusiasm was justified. Maybe if more Americans had a little enthusiasm, instead of throwing up the mental roadblocks touted by the “loyal opposition”, more progress might be made?

Sure we are still hurting from Bush’s incompetence, but at least we aren’t losing 750,000 jobs a month. And the Reeps have done nothing but obstruct.

@ZITS: Look at the jobs gained and/or lost graph through the Bush and Obama years, then apologise for your misinformation.Obama has picked up private sector jobs, not as many as anyone would have expected, but repug budget cuts for teachers, cops, fireman have lost public sector jobs. Mr. Obama did not expect congressmen who took an oath of office to govern the country would be so willing to sabotage the country to get rid of our president. Oh, ZITS—You are a spherical piece of dung—that’s dung anyway you look at it.

The main reason that unemployment continues to be high is that states and local governments have been slashing budgets and laying off workers. You can thank Republicans in Congress for blocking any attempt to provide federal aid to the states.

The states that have elected republican governors like Wisconsin, Ohio, New Jersey etc. do not require federal aid because they are handling business internally. The states and major cities run by democrat’s have serious issues that need to be addressed. Chicago is a glaring example.

By your own example, if your younger brother is buying drugs with his money instead of caring for his family and paying bills, you Gary are going to keep funding his poor decisions?

Guess we will have to agree, to diss agree.

Dem’s have been throwing “medication” at them for years and have gotten no where. They need to be OFF the medication.

Oh, stop with the name calling, it just discredits your intelligence.

BTW: Walkers initiatives created more teaching job’s, balanced the state budget, reduced property taxes in some communities and is attracting new business developing job growth.

Who would want a Governor like that? (Maybe California or Illinois?)
