I actually met…. well, not “met” …. let’s say “encountered” … a guy in those shoes, once…. lots of years ago.True story!Waiting alone for a 2 AM bus at 7th and Market in San Francisco…if you knew SF you’d already be saying “bad idea”…though it WAS a bit safer back then… but not safe.Guy walked up in total pimp gear…MUCH more tasteful than the guy in this strip….all white, everything, and skin tight….He was probably 6’4" in bare feet….but he towered over me in tall white platform boots.I was kinda scared…. Then he asked me if I knew what time the next bus would be to someplace I (whew!) wasn’t going….so I gave him my bus schedule… and he smiled at me….Then I noticed he had live goldfish in his clear shoe soles!I was shocked… I thought that was just in cartoons…so I said “Um… nice boots.”He gave me an even bigger smile…. and I felt relieved…….till he very politely asked me….if I’d like to turn a trick.Oops.But I said “No thanks.” and he left me alone. Whew again!

Varnes…. sorry the line is so long….I had no idea…I think you’re 972 now, if you’re still waiting….

There is a difference between turning a trick and learning a trick… subtle, but a difference none the less.

It’s a good thing the fish don’t see him or they would be long gone.
