Yes, remember! We could have had McCain/Paln, and FOUR MORE YEARS of a crashing economy, and another war, this one in Iran.(Don’t blame me, it was John’s “motto”)

Newsflash! The “economy” is suffering from a fatal disease – overproduction – and neither capitalist party has a clue how to cure it. It will continue to careen out of control worldwide until a revolution replaces it whole.

AND, remember how Bush “held back” the Israeli client state from attacking Iran before he left offifce. This good cop/bad cop tactic is contuing under the Democrats, in an effort to force the capitalists in Tehran to give away the oil and everything else to US and EU corporations. The US ruling class is, over the decades, remarkably united in their foreign policy..

SO, the upshot is, we can’t help remembering Mr. Bush, everytime we glance at the image of Mr. Obama.

Yes, gas has double under Obama. Why don’t we hear much about it? During hisvterm Bush got pounded daily by the mainstream press!

“I remember $1.87/gal gas.”That’s nearly double what it was just a couple of years before that.

Those of you lamenting cheap gas many years ago fail to recall that salaries and income were also much lower. Gas prices are driven by worldwide demand, not presidential politics. Why should Shell Oil sell us their product for $30 a barrel when they can sell it in Japan or China or Germany for $90? The best we can do in this country is a mix of lowered demand (greater fuel efficiency) and lowered need (a gradual, but market-driven, transition to renewable energy). This would greatly aid both the world (and our) environment and stoke economic growth through new technological development.

Yep the Blame Bush excuse is beyond tiresome. What boss (us the voters) would ever allow a failing employee to continue using the previous person as an excuse for his poor performance. Maybe the first year, but after 4 years even the employee would likely say “maybe this job isn’t for me”.

What boss would keep on several staffers (congressmen) who did nothing but stand in the way?

Yes, remember the voodoo economic policies that caused the mess Obama is trying to fix. Remember that Romney will do the same exact thing.

One example: In Ashland, Or., for five of the “bush years”, housing prices were rising at 20% per YEAR! That was 100% in that five years, and it was INFLATION, NOT rise in actual “value”. Stockton, and other cities, like well, Las Vegas, saw the same. It was UNREGULATED “financial institutions”, NOT a true “market” driving the rise. It was stupid, and yes, there was blame to “share”.

But, the REAL problems go back to what GHW Bush recognized, “Voodoo economics”, otherwise known as “Reaganomics”, of lower taxes, and higher spending, over three decades, NOT JUST “W”. HE was however the worst offender during his 8 years of stupidly following the doctrine, even when the dike was overflowing , and the nation was drowning in debt, largely created by those same UNREGULATED “finance folks”.

No, don’t put all the blame on Bush, but please, at least recognize that he was much less charming, so a better “target”, than the REAL culprits, those who used Reagan as a front for their activities!

The -cons keep harping on JOBS, remember? So let’s do the math, people: 12 years of 2 Bushes’ administrations yielded less in job gains than the under-four-years of Obama’s term. Suck it.

Average worker wages and salaries haven’t increased anywhere near enough compared to costs of living and corporate profits over the past 50 years.

Until the working class mounts a united fightback behind a democratically-led Labor Party, the good cop/bad cop tactic will continue to have “liberals” and “conservatives” bickering and yapping at each others’ heels – and all for nothing!

In my opinion, if Gore had won back in 2000, 9/11 and the housing collapse would still have happened, and the roles and claims by both parties would have been reversed. That’s the nature of politics.
