@ All, Obama never had complete control of Congress. The filibuster was used a record number of times to defeat Obama’s plans for recovery and budgets. Mitch pledged from day one to do everything to make Obama a one-term president. All Republican members of Congress (and some Democrats) pledged to Grover Norquist to NEVER raise taxes even if it means the downfall of this country. -Evidently this does not hold for taxes on the poor and middle income because Ryan’s plan would raise their taxes. Keeping the Bush tax cuts has not helped the average family because it has been eaten up by increases in food, utility and gasoline prices. Has the 400% increase in executive pay compared to no increase for the working person helped the economy? No, because it is put into foreign accounts or invested in firms like Bain China. It will be fun to watch people squirm when gold tanks like the real estate market did.
Not if those opposing Congress members will NEVER compromise under ANY circumstances, which forces the president into continual compromise to get ANYTHING done at all.
President Obama (even with the economy not doing as well as he and others would wish) has a current approval rating of about 50%, Congress, with the senate barely controlled by the Democrats, and the House which is strongly controlled by the Republicans, and where all legislation from Congress is generated by the House, now has an over all approval rating of about 9%, or less than 20% of that of President Obama.
Seeing this, just who does even a reasonable conservative such as yourself believe the American people as a whole trust?
Justice: as you’re aware, we’ve tried dozens of times to bring these FACTS out to the “right-wingers”, but Foxrush, is their only “reliable” source for their garbage.
Obama wanted to unify; he was willing to compromise. But the right, the Tea Party in particular, was not. They basically said if you want us to be unified then you have to come all the way over here where we are, because we’re not budging.

Well, Tigger, maybe if he HAD been able to get Congressional support dropping the Bush tax cuts things might indeed have been better, sooner.
