Moving with small children means never turning your back, because they can unpack and mess up in 10 minutes what it took you an hour to do. .We moved just last Dec. and my hubby went on ahead while I finished packign up the household before following with the kids. My 2 y.o. son discovered the big bag of packing peanuts, and in less time that it took me to get from the kitchen to the living room, dumped all 12 square feet of them out of the living room floor. Stryofoam is more static-clingy than cat hair rubbed with a latex ballon when you’re trying to sweep it up (cause it clogged the hoover in 10 seconds flat.) Total clean up time 4 hours..And then there was the box of books that I had packed but wanted to find something light to fill out the box that he and his sister oh so helpfully decided needed to be “put away”..Doug already covered improving the walls, though mine choose the acrylic paints on the top shelf in the closet accessable with all those nice boxes to climb.
