Until Netanyahu, and the “righties” agree to work toward true settlelments with their Palestinian residents, and neighbors, there will be no “peace”, especially as they keep taking more pieces of other’s land.

Rogers has it right. It’s like choosing between the Crips and the Bloods. We choose Israel because we have more Jews in the US eligible to vote, but we soft pedal it because we want Arab oil.

All of you need to understand that almost every country around Israel wants them destroyed. Try to live with that.

Jews and Arabs are BOTH SEMITES! As Prince Faisal said at the end of WW I, when with T.E. Lawrence, he went to Britain to plead the case with the Zionists that as “brothers of the same tribe”, Palestine should be divided and shared between them. Balfour, and the Peel Commission agreed, and drew lines, but in ‘48 the U.N. drew different lines, then in ’67, Israel attacked it’s neighbors FIRST, declaring “preemptive strikes”, and took the land the U.N. denied them.

LIke lookiside, and despite all the attacks I get from the “AIPAC types” here, I DO respect a lot of the things the Israelis have accomplished. Mossad, and the Israeli military, IS very competent, but, I DO NOT agree with some of their “political tactics”(Like bombing Iraq and Syria). Those Israelis willing to establish peace with their internal citizens, and neighbors, I DO HAVE high regard for! It is the “nut fringe” of Netanyahu and Likud I take strong exception too, just like the radical right in our OWN COUNTRY who declared war on Iraq, and Afghanistan, with NO JUST CAUSE!

    Peace isn’t stupid, or easy.

Screaming won’t help make your point any clearer. My point is that you make a case for peace loving Israelites, but there should be a consensus of peace loving Israelites, Arabs, Palestinians, Persians-the 4 sides. Sorry you don’t understand why I had to shoot people who weren’t being very peaceful towards me. If you can’t see beyond “America’s at fault”, I’ll just consider you to be like the other pull toys in this forum.

Gladius: one more time, WHY should someone who’s lived in the same place, for 200 generations, be required to seek “sanctuary”, in another country??? (Especially to turn their land over to someone who arrived from Russia in 1952? Or the U.S. in 2008?)

Note: Moses left Egypt, and took his tribe into the land of others, where they started killing off the “natives” and taking the land. Joshua and others were a quite homicidal group of sociopaths, if you just read their own “record”.

Egyptian records under Ramses II’s son, only reflect a “minor tribe” called Hebrews, who were a trouble-making group hardly worth noting. There isn’t a single record supporting any of the “myths” in Exodus, except the “Hebrew record”.

BUT, a lot of religions have their myths, and that is FINE! EXCEPT, if they use those myths as a rationale to destroy others. THAT is the real problem with Netanyahu and the “extreme right-wing” in Israel today. It is ALSO the problem with the extreme right-wing in IRAN!! NUT CASES ARE NUT CASES.

It’s time for the rest of the world to act like “grownups”, and stop putting up with EITHER of these groups’ stealing other people’s “toys”, and land, with their temper tantrums that are getting people KILLED!

Glad the impaled on “anti-logic”: there is no such “ethnicity” as “Americans”, so it’s okay for Mexicans, Hindus, or Japanese to take our land? BTW: my maternal grandfather was Cherokee, so my “ethnic background” IS familiar with a bunch of ignorant savages (Jackson and Congress) stealing the land of a “civilized” people.

It’s a hunk of desert for God sake! Maybe we should do what we do when kids fight over a toy. Take it away from both of them. Maybe we should nuke after so nobody would want to/could live there.

"It’s a hunk of desert “No, not even most of it; arid, yes but it has very fertile areas which also existed before ’48.”Maybe we should do what we do when kids fight over a toy."“We”? Cute but telling. Hmmm, I sense some(!) frustration so I’ll give the patronising & callous comments a pass…
