I’ve made mistakes myself, but I can be smug enough to say I’ve never done this. My coffee has been WAY TOO IMPORTANT for me to forget. LOL!
I would think Adam would wake up smiling as it was ‘raining coffee’ in his dreams….truly a wish only he could imagine!
I ahem have done this. With a large soda. Sticky but not hot at least.

I wonder how many american’s would sue of this happened to them?
If the coffee were Doc Tune’s nuclear coffee, what would have hurt more, the unobtanium coffee cup hitting his head or whatever mutant power he got for the day?
Is that what he would call a “wet” dream?
