If the Dream Act is such a great idea, wy didn’t the Democrats pass it when they had control of the House, a filibuster proof majority in the Senate, and the White House? It’s much easier for Obama to make pronouncements from on high, bypassing Congress to garner political support and then dump the financial burden on the states.
wasn’t arizona used to be part of mexico until we bought/war spoil/and took it. and, jan does look like an ugly drag queen with ties to private prison companies which she gets kickbacks and bribes. a state government that says they are worried about jobs, but wasted time and energy on checking everyone’s immigration status, every women’s menstrual cycle, making sure teens are not jacking it, and not doing anything about jobs or deficits or their debt.
I’ve thought all along that the tea party is no more than a bunch of racist/ageist misogynists hiding in clothes that, back in the 60s, would have gotten them jailed for desecration of the flag.
Awwww, whassa matter. Immy? Don’t you LIKE the taste of your own medicine?
( For those who don’t know what I’m talking about check out HIS comments about the Dems on the Tom Toles cartoon thread. Ima never could stand to be on the receiving end of his own type of rhetoric. )
^Morty: yes I too took the test, missed one question(that I knew the right answer on, but screwed up). I honor your knowledge of OUR nation, and respect your commentaries for said same reason.
I’ve been to some of those “tougher” places, and my son has been to many more in military service. Americans would ALL be better off if they indeed had the chance to make legitimate comparison, from experience, to how other nations survive, not just “live”. Take nothing for granted, as it CAN disappear. Sadly, few Americans realize that; which makes it easier to con them with promise of wealth, caviar, and champaign, when they will NOT be in that “1%” they all dream is an automatic “right”.
If Arizona, or any other state, wanted to reduce the number of illegals, they would prosecute businesses who hire them. Not a meaningless fine, jail time. Probably one overnight stay would modify the behavior of most businesses.-Instead, Brewer talks about beheadings in the desert and comes up with schemes to enrich political allies who run private prisons.-And fences, of course, which are totally, totally effective, as we all know.
Oh, we knew you could say stuff without proof or facts from your FIRST post, JK.Care to SHOW us that there’s that many minorities in the Tea-Bagger heirarchy, or are we all supposed to believe it because YOU said so?
And even if you can ( which I don’t think is going to happen ) how many blacks and latinos are there in the Repub controlled HOUSE? Unless there’s a greater proportion than in the Senate or Obama’s cabinet, that claim of yours is meaningless
Jeff Kiser- the last time I checked the Senate doesn’t determine the ethnic makeup of its assembly. The voters do that. Obama’s cabinet has blacks , women, HIspanics in key roles, and since their are a limited number of positions as compared to thousands of teabaggers, it’s not surprising that their might be fewer.
Who are the teabaggers you refer to? I’ve rarely seen blacks at a teaparty event. Which part of the teabaggers do you mean? Tea Party Express? Regular Tea Party? Tea Party in Congress? Most of what I’ve seen is a lily-white organization of ex John Birchers.
By the way, your boy Bush used executive orders and signing statements almost daily. If anyone ever used the Constitution as toilet paper, it was Shrub.
Go Brewer. It’s great that she speaks for the American people and not the up and coming (and maybe already voting) liberal voting block. It is not our fault their parents broke the law and not our responsibility to continue paying for them. If the children are allowed to stay, are we going to deport their parents and leave them here alone? I think not. This is the president’s way of getting votes. That is his ONLY concern.
Hooray for you Jan! You and Sherrif Joe are the few that believe that illegal is against the law and should face immediate deportation, no matter how long or how they got here. ‘Dreaming’ doesn’t make it legal!

Great picture of Brewer. She always reminds me of “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane” in a Sarah Palin suit.
