I can’t believe she stood up for him after all the stupid things he’s done. Love is truly blind.

Wow. This is really the first time I’ve seen any affection from Patty! It explains so much about the croc family’s relationships with one another.

Larry’s parents would have been happier if they had gotten to meet his son.

There’s a certain truth to this. I domestic fights, a cop will pull a guy off of a woman he’s been slapping around and punching for ten minutes….What happens? The woman attacks the cop! “Quit hurting my husband!” she yells……. Happens a lot!

Rat said yesterday that no one has older names… but the Croc’s have a Bob and Larry… and Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob… uh, how many times has Bob died? I lost count.

Pastis could have used “butt” instead of “@$$” – the censors would have allowed that.

Is a Larry “remake” on it’s way?Will he now get a job?Will he stop being a jerk to his wife?Will he pursue something other than Zeeba?.Let’s all have a couple of cold ones and ponder it. “Hey, Larry, any chicken left?”.

The whole point is that low class people are crass – and pair up with people like themselves.

@ varnes, that’s a bit harsh. there’s no domestic dispute here. she’s just standing up for her goofy, incredibly mentally challenged husband. it’s not like she accepts his abuse, just his lack of ambition.

@Tacopielvr
There is NO excuse for domestic violence. Just where do you get the idea that most women in such situations start the physical abuse? It is a sad fact that most cases of domestic violence is the male abusing the female, this is why it is usually the man who is arrested, it should only be in the less common instances where the woman is the abuser, that she is the one arrested.

A while back, maybe 2 years, Larry actually spoke like his father and dressed in a suit. Many thought he had hit his head and was another croc.

I object to people calling Larry a loser. He loves his wife, his son, he has a job. Does anybody remember the strip where Larry is bemoaning turning 40 and not killing thousands of Zeebas. He calls himself a failure, and his son reminds him of all the minutes he didn’t waste. Larry asks him to name just one. The last panel shows Larry pushing his smiling son on a swingset. If that’s a loser, then may we all be losers.

“My failure”? Ownership of this sorry specimen was not an issue, was it? Who else would have him?

Domestic violence is one of the most dangerous calls a police officer can handle. They are always tense situations, usually amplified by alcohol. Every year officers are killed and injured during these types of calls yet they willingly respond due to their comment to protect and serve. Reasonable people should be grateful that there are professionals who wear a uniform and risk their lives in order to protect even a “dumb ass.”
