What is mittens hiding? No taxes paid, maybe not. Very low tax rates? Likely. Not really a resident of MA as required by the MA constitution? Probably. Retroactive retirement? Really?
He has as much as $100 million in an IRA. If we did that, we’d be breaking the law; it’s unclear how Romney did it since it’s in the “lost years” of his tax returns. But the rich get different rules. He also has $100 million tax free account for his kids. Again, if you or I did that, we’d be breaking the estate tax law. But I guess when you’re rich enough, you get your own rules. He got to deduct $77,000 from his wife’s pet horse’s food and medicine as a “business” expense. I don’t get to deduct pet expenses, I’m not rich enough.
We need someone in the White House willing to end these abuses, not someone who takes advantage of every loophole.
Mitt took $1.5 billion from the US taxpayers to save the Salt Lake City Olympics…..We learn now…“We are running out of ways to not get Mitt Romney’s emails. Just as his emails from his years as Massachusetts governor have disappeared — his staff removed the messages from the server — the emails from the years he spent running the Salt Lake City Olympics appear to be lost, too. Archival records of the inner workings of the games were donated to the University of Utah, but emails, calendars, contracts, and financial documents were not included, ABC News reports. The school’s library says that leaving that stuff out of the archives was a decision made by Olympic officials.”……………http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2012/07/no-ones-going-read-mitt-romneys-olympics-emails/54886/
Every thing about Harry Reid creeps me out. He is the antithesis of every thing wrong with Washington. Maybe enough Mexicans could move into Arizona and declare it part of Mexico and we would be rid of him, since Arizonans keep re -electing him.
“Only liberals care about this phony tax return issue and they weren’t about to vote for President Romney anyway. The rest of us are voting against Lord Ears.”So says someone who used birther innuendo in his trolling.
Hey Henry, what’s the matter? You can dish it out but can’t take it?it’s OK for you & your wacko wingnut buddies to smear Obama with lies, but it’s wrong for us to question the truths and obfuscations of your guy?
Using innuendo and baseless insinuations, anonymous sources of accusations the “accused” then has to disprove – dang, if Joseph McCarthy was alive today, he’d be patting Harry Reid on the back and saying “attaboy!”
But if it turns out to be false, and let’s face it neither of us really know, then what do you think should happen to Harry Reid?-The same thing that happened to Bush when he lied about Saddam wanting to get uranium from Nigeria. Joe Biden will out a CIA agent.
‘When this turns out to be true, do y’all think we’ll get any apologies from all the right wing cartoonists, or will it just get quietly forgotten?’-Being Republican means never saying you’re sorry.
“What we really need in this country are libel laws that apply to politicians."They can just skirt that by resorting to 3rd party accusations and innuendo.
“Harry Reid is the precise example of this libel law avoidance.”I was thinking more along the lines of the birthers and swift boaters, Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, et al. Fox News is particularly good at it. “Some people might say” that Fox News reporters have cocaine fueled orgies every night after they sacrifice 10 puppies to Aries.
