Given Sunday’s punchline, I hope this is humor. I’m only about half Mike’s age, but I still prefer the aging cast to the newer characters. None of the ‘Next Generation’ has really grabbed me. The only non-boomer character I’ve enjoyed at all is Kim, and She doesn’t see that much development.

I’ve been reading Doonesbury for over 40 years now, and I’d be more than willing to bet that GT is just having us on, as he’s done many times over the years in the strip.There’s a lot of us out there who still think Doonesbury the best (or at least one of the best) cartoon strips ever. Keep it up GT, we love ya!
