In this place, Flask has four fingers! Maybe because she thinks herself as having four fingers?

I cannot think of any cartoon strip over the 60 years of my reading , writing, animated or newspaper with a more seductive, entransive ( made up word) full filling, addictive, ( I am urging the dictionary to help me add more to this.) fluid, heart worthy, brain teaser, consistent classic art, action of characters, and especially thought out to please the entire audience. There… how did we do, the dictionary and me. Aaron, I really love you. Too bad I am beyond the age of whoopy. Blessed Be.

I used to write my published rites in rhyme because it made it more interesting and remembered. I have lost all the copies of the rites that that were published which makes me sad. However, they did the things they were supposed to do at the time. Blessed BE

Or her whole hand was blown off, and this is Aaron Marx’s imaginary hand put back on to replace it.

Marx is dressed in his black cloak, but he’s not wearing his hood, or carrying his scythe, or riding a great, white horse called Binky.

“but i dont get it if she died why did AM made her body dissapear mid air ?”At a minimum, it prevents the Topsiders from finding the corpse and trying to harvest what little gray matter is still recoverable. Additionally, Flask had checked the organ donor box on her driver’s license, and her liver and heart will bring in good money on the auction block.—————————Mad! Eyauuuuughhhhh!!!!

That first panel is so evocative. Flask’s anger seems to have been replaced by astonishment, and it suits her better.

Actually, the statement was “I think, therefore I am”. However, it did not mean that a person was what they thought they were. (alive in this case) I personally believe that it was actually an angry retort to the people who were debating existence. (Do I exist or do I think I exist? The argument got really weird at the time.)

3 or 4 fingers aside, I have to think AM is trying to get her to redeem herself so she won’t have to spend eternity, such as it is, in a little place called hell……….

When she flew out the window on July 3, I was certain her right hand was gone. But the panels with her falling, on the 4th, clearly shows both hands. Well, whatever the reason, I’m sure it’s a good one, and regardless of how many fingers she has, they are all dead.;-)

Ah, but in panel 4 today…. Is AM’s hand passing through Flask’s, or is Flask’s hand passing through AM’s? Which is real, which is Memorex?

The number of fingers any character has in any panel is rarely going to make any difference to the ongoing narrative. If Flask’s corporeal identity in this plane is projection of her own self image then it could change from moment to moment. What is intriguing if that is true; is what was the pain she felt coming from? If Flask subconciously remembered the explosion would that cause this manifestation to be mangled and in pain? Then how could Marx clean her up? It is fun to visit the Endtown universe.

I agree that it’s bad manners to point out flaws in a host’s comic. I had checked yesterday’s comic strip to make sure that she had four fingers then and now before commenting. :) I think it was put there on purpose, likely for one of the reasons we’re speculating.

Maybe the difference is that he can leave if he chooses to (he’s freaking Aaron Marx, after all! XD), and she can’t (without help)? I am curious as to Marx’s intentions. I’m sure he came for more reasons than just to let her know that she’s dead. There must be something he thinks he can do for her, even if he can’t technically bring her back to life in their reality (or maybe he can?)

The first panel on the July 3rd strip (home to the infamous “click”) gives us a marvelous closeup of the (then corporeal) Flask’s lovely right hand (er, paw, whatever) with it’s three (count ’em, three) shapely knuckles.

After Flask murdered two of her associates in cold blood, it’s poetic to see her on the receiving end. May she find solace.

Ok, to inch out even a little farther on this already narrow limb…If this Flask is only a thought that thinks itself, and therefore NOT the corporeal Flask, it begs the question: Where is her body? Was it actually thrown through the window, or were those merely Flask’s thoughts that Petey saw falling into apparent nothingness? Was she blown into tiny bits of cat chow scattered all over the bridge? If this Flask is nothing but a figment of her lingering lunacy, where’s the room temperature Flask, the empty one?

A few wayward observations, the explosion of the gun was bad enough to really mess up Flask’s face BUT the jump suite is unscathed. This may be possible since this is a time in our near future.

If this was not Flask’s body, then why would AM have to “fix” her face in yesterday’s installment, if she was just “thought” then there would be no damage done.

Well, like Jenner said the other day, this is going to be a very interesting ride, so, that care children, let us go forth.

She really did have quite a death wish going on. We may see more of her story now, but she was so hateful that it seems for the best that she died, but I will miss her. I really wonder about her past. Maybe it will be Petey that will tell the story.

If Aaron Marx brings Flask back from the dead, he’s NOT “Doctor Who’s second cousin”…he’s GOD!

I sincerely hope that this is Aaron’s way of fleshing out the story and filling in the background that would otherwise be unexplained…also, it’s allowing us to say goodbye.

Goodbye, Philomena Flask, I’ll miss you. RIP

If Marx has the ability to bring people back from the dead, why not allow Flask to blow up the TSer colony and then just bring them back? This would let Flask feel happy about herself, and the TS’ers would be happy at having another excuse to kill mutants, which Marx could then bring back as well. While he’s at it, why not bring back Leo the pig and the mouse that the TSers dusted at the beginning of the story, or Doug, Linda’s TS partner? The fact that Marx doesn’t bring back everyone is because he’s not God, not Doctor Who, and not Q. He’s just this guy, you know?——————————-Matt, I want you in the control booth, now!
