Well, at least the chair and the table … OK, maybe those were made in Sweden. Coffee from South America or Indonesia.

Our Republican friends will be delighted that GUNS are one of the few things we make here.

Actually thanks to Cerberus we can just barely make enough weapons and ammo to keep our troops supplied. Thank WalMart for the demise of manufacturers that used to make this stuff. Constant price pressure caused many to take their factories offshore or they simply were bankrupted meeting the evil empires demands. Shop the evil empire destroy US jobs.

That would never have happened if Romney had been in charge!-When Romney was in charge of the Olympics, the uniforms were made in Burma — only the commerative pins were made in China.

When a company moves its facilities overseas, they fire their workers, but assume that other companies’ employees will buy the foreign made goods because of the lower prices. This forces other companies to move their plants to China in order to stay competitive. Sooner or later there are no customers left.

We simply need a buy American plan, where those who can afford it buy American products to try to reverse the cycle. If there’s a clear market for US made goods, companies will bring jobs back, and more people will be able to buy. We just have to put our national interest ahead of low prices.

There IS a place in a “hot, flat, world economy” to make different parts, in different places, and assemble somewhere else. The problem with the U.S. "corporate model’, is that NONE of that is now done in the U.S.. We need more INsourcing, of something other than stockholder and CEO profits. Not everyone CAN BE the CEO, or the billionaire, and THAT is the phony dream Limbaugh and the “right” play for the morons who buy their idiocy, and fraud.
