Bucky: Perhaps if you offer Satchel some money, too, he'll take your free pancake. Satchel: What's your point? Bucky: Even though you're spineless, you liberals still can't bend over backward far enough for each other. The pancake simply adds that ironic image of flip-flopping. Satchel: You flip your bacon on the stove, too. Bucky: Not when I eat it raw. Satchel: You never eat raw bacon. Bucky: Yeah? Watch how a true conservative eats bacon! I don’t know any true conservatives. I know many local confederates…they don’t know the difference. For most of them, bacon would be cannibalism. Which is FINE with me:bears make money, bulls make money, and HOGS get slaughtered.

The problem here is you liberals equate a government program with personal charity. The greatest joy is giving of yourself to a person or organization of your choosing, not advocating for a government program, paid for by other people’s tax money. Libertarians and conservatives want fewer government programs, so we can put our own money into charities that work.

I wish this comic strip wouldn’t descend into mocking Conservatives. It gets annoying. I used to buy the Get Fuzzy books whenever they came out, but I’ve been rethinking that lately.

Bacon is cured thus it is not “raw.” I ate a piece here and there uncooked all the time when I was a kid.
