Okay, this is surreal…but no more so than the actual events that inspired it.

This IS surreal. Why the men, mostly GOP men, so interested in woman parts? Why can’t we call our woman parts by their proper names? Why the war on women? Already we can’t choose to be able to decide between themselves and the doctor about her pregnancies. Already some are talking about birth control. I guess men want to support lots of kids.Already they HAve rolled back women’s protection from domestic violence. Will we end up barefoot and pregnant and wearing burkas? That is where they are likely to end up, with all this regression to before the pill. GOP wants a religious government that wants to limit our freedoms and and get rid of democracy. Why women want a republican in charge I can’t figure.I think that they just don’t like president Obama, but Romney is the default candidate. Rememberr last year, it was all “anybody but Romney!”

Interesting that so many of these "gentlemen’ can’t even say “glove”, and it’s all “women’s fault”.

In Latin the word “vagina” means the sheath of a sword. The word is used fairly frequently, for example, in the Aeneid. I’ve noticed that undergraduate Latin students always stumble a bit when they first see this in class.

it’s sad that her “vagina” comment, coming at the end of an articulate argument regarding freedom of religion as it applies to abortion from the Jewish faith view

Some men prefer their made-up vulgarisms to the real word. Perhaps they also prefer blow-up dolls?

Dr, Canuck: from 15th: I said ‘look it up’ for those “south of the line”. What Mounties could have done: investigate a possible auto theft rather than blowing it off; have an official report to facilitate insurance settlement.

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/06/michigan-lawmaker-to-perform-vagina-monologues-in-protest-of-gag-order/Rep. Lisa Brown is going to perform The Vagina Monologues on the steps of the Capital. I think that is great.

Wow! Even for the GOP this is asinine, and that’s saying something.

Data shows men do not want to support kids. They just want to brag about havig them, then dissappear.

When Vergil said “vagina” he meant “scabbard”, but when Freud said “vagina” he meant “vagina”. Or did he? Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

I learned Ovid from a wonderful nun, and she handled the dirty bits in the Ars Amatoria with such grace. It was a lesson not just in Latin.

Any man who is afraid of the word “vagina” should never be allowed near one.For my part, I am a confirmed vagitarian.

As usual, a leftist cartoonist twists what the news is to fit his agenda-driven template. Lisa Brown was NOT censored for simply saying “vagina.” Here is the line she used:

“And finally, Mr. Speaker, I’m flattered that you’re all so interested in my vagina, but ‘no’ means ‘no’!”

Context means everything. Yet another case of lefties believing everything that they read in the funny-papers…
