Ha — sounds like something my husband would do.

Probably should have been “late frost” — early frost is Fall…. ; )

Plums, apples, figs or peaches……that late frost comes after they’re in full bloom and boom…….all gone.

Apples need two trees…Plums can do it themselves.

I had a great apple tree when I lived in Arizona. It yielded a real bumper crop every other year. Made great cider! Now I’ve got an orange tree in my back yard in Florida that yields plenty of worthless, bitter fruit. Whoever invented “ornamental” fruit trees should be forced to eat the fruits of his labor.

Late frost. Early frost would be in Fall or early winter.

Very interesting in fruit tree talk. Last two years apple tree my mom has produce nothing. We had a very dry and too hot Summer. This year a very long spring, actually nice, now my mom says there are actually apples growing and taste great.

Another strangphenomenaim is couple of trees one not sure of the other tulip tree the maibrancheses no leaves the lower branches antrunkck of tree very big green leaves. Our babFormosaus tree the top of the tree no leaves the bottom toward the ground leaves are sprouting.

Apple trees are ugly – need a cold winter to bear fruit. Stone fruit trees are pretty and give lots of shade. I’ll take a plum tree anyday!

When plums dry up are they called prunes? If they are then that would explain why Earl is just a regular guy !!

The plum trees that I’m familiar with have a purple leaf, or at least some purple veining to them. In that case, this one is certainly NOT a plum tree.
