At least the dress won’t distract from the work. Plus, she probably knows what she’s teaching and has heard it all before—and truly doesn’t get paid enough for what she does! There’s a Calvin in every class!

In the third panel, Mrs. Wormwood looks like she just passed a stone!!

I love the look on the teachers face in panel 3, you can almost see her thinking WTF

Being a hot, young, single professional woman, Miss Wormwood is used to getting a line of insincere sweet talk from the male population.

And more teachers would like to see you in other classess rather than theirs, Calvin.

You got your wish. Here in California, there are no new public school teachers. My daughter has credentials and a master’s degree, and still can not get a teaching job other than at a nursery school, changing diapers.

That’s a better excuse than anything I could think of.

Just the other day I flunked a student for turning in an essay which had been cut-and-pasted from the Internet. Calvin is behind the times!

Subtlety comes with age. Calvin will get there.

Careful what you wish for!This is legit hilarious. But I still can’t bring myself to understand how Calvin goes through life with his level of intellect and nevertheless continues to earn atrocious grades!

There is a new policy on the verge of being passed in several states that MUST be prevented! The suggestion is that the amount of pay teachers receive should stem from their students’ grades. This strip alone should serve as a case in point as to why this proposal is LUDICROUS!!!!! The kind of amazing teachers I have this year don’t deserve to be dragged down by slackers like Calvin.

Want to see more teachers on the street, Calvin? Sadly, fast forward to our time…you will get your wish.
