When I was a kid it was the “sugar sandwich.” Piece of bread spread with marge and covered with a heavy coating of sugar. No worse than the cheap cereals that cost so much money.
Linus eats weird stuff and concoctions. Remember a real early strip where Linus made himself a snack of honey coated sugar cubes? Lucy had to run and throw up. I recall sugar sandwiches as a kid. I used to like Jell-O with Kool-Aid poured over it. Those things make me sick to think of now.
