You’re wrong Rat, eight beers do not bring wisdom. It’s the shot of Tequila before and after each beer that provide the enlightenment.

Rat actually did it! He got Pig to drink beer. And not just one but eight! Pastis said that Pig being so child-like he always pictured him as only drinking juice or soda and everyone else, especially Rat, would drink beer. But Rat actually did it.

In Bavaria(Germany), beer is taxed in the same category as ‘Staple food products’. I love it here!!!

“When I am this drunk, I become brazen and arrogant to the last degree. I perform the most difficult feats flawlessly. And all of you, my dears, because it’s true, look as big as cockroaches, or some other quite unimportant things.” (Doctor Astrov in “Vanya on 42nd Street.”)

@jukeofurl: In the US regular food is not taxed in grocery stores, only “drinks” (not juices, but soda and alcoholic beverages) as well as pet food, etc.

Oh, my, my! Pig has made a pig of himself and become sloshed. Since he has not hitherto been drunk in our presence, he will likely develop a massive hangover and be unavailable for comic relief for some time. I hope Rat and Goat have some amusing routines scripted for use at times like these….

Beer is what gets idiots out driving around crashing into cars killing inocent folks. Just because your old enough to drink beer don’t mean you have too.

I like beer/ It makes me a jolly good fellow/ It helps me unwind and makes me feel mellow/Whiskey’s too rough/Champagne costs too much/And vodka puts my mouth in gear… (Tom T. Hall song)

Ahhh, reminds me of an old favorite dinner from college: cookies and beer. Ever dunk a chocolate chip cookie in a Budweiser? Maybe I did…I don’t remember.

Speaking of which, it isn’t the beer that brings wisdom, it’s the hangover, as in “I did WHAT???”

@LiveToSurfAnd in Greece, beer is taxed with a “sin” tax. Therein lies the difference.
