Jean Claude fan: “Damn!”

One trick pony, one-time character. And I had such high hopes for Jean Claude. On an unrelated note, I really would like to see Guard Duck, Snuffles, and Licensable Bippy get together and do some craziness.

Can somebody explain me this strip? I didn’t get the point AT ALL.

Guess Jean Claude wasn’t that liked by Pastis but it took him a while to draw a morse looking face. So rather than just scrap the character from the get go and turn all that time into a waste he just offed him in his debut. Bet that’s what Pastis will say in whichever treasury this one ends up in.

Jean Claude didn’t talk because he is horse.

Who shot Jean Claude? It takes a ton for fortitude to shoot yourself three times. Unless you miss twice!

Yeah, I agree that LGD did the deed. Either him or Snuffles. Can’t be Larry. He would have missed and killed one of the Bobs.

Horse can’t be dead because…none shall pass.

This reminds me of a classic Far Side cartoon entitled “Horse Hospitals”, where all the horses have their legs in casts, and the doctors are all armed with shotguns.

Does this make Jean Claude the horse he Rodin?

How language changes! Thirty years ago a put down was a disparaging remark or an insult, as in “You’re always putting me down”.

Considering what happened to the horse, the name should be that of the Olympic Skier, Jean Claude KILLY.

Jean Claude looked troubled and full of himself. Perhaps it’s better he’s off now. His sculptures all look like stomachs anyway.
