Dog, they do not lie, it can kill you, or at least make you very sick.

It’s a health food for people, though…right? Right???

Dad’s dog ate a 2 lb box and suffered not at all.

I’ve heard that about chocolate, it must be the modern stuff because back in the 60s our dogs ate chocolate icecream, cake etc all the time and were never a whit the worse. But with all the crazy junk they’re putting in our food these days, it’ll end up killing humans too.

We had a dog that was very good at finding the family chocolate stash no matter where we hid it. On a regular, almost weekly basis he would consume in one sitting a 200g bar and a few Mars™ bars. He suffered no obvious side effects and lived to 18 years. The greatest risk to his health was from me old mum and her broom ;)

Milk chocolate contains theobromine at about 2.1 g/kg (1Kg(2.2lb) contains about 2.1g) a lethal dose for a dog is about 300mg of theobromine, for a cat 200mg and for humans is more than 1000mg.So a fatal dose for a dog that weighs 20kg should be about 500g of milk chocolate.Tea, cola and açaí berries also contain theobromine.I can only assume we had really cheap chocolate back then ;)

I guess that means a 50kg human could eat in excess of 4kg of milk chocolate before suffering any problems _

On the bright side the more we eat the heavier we get, so the more we can eat lol.

Now if I could understand the metric system it would make sense to me.

Now we know why airplanes crash.
