Any other movie would have had MERCHANDISING like everything else Disney does. Toys in the Happy Meals, breakfast cereal, dried fruit snacks, etc. etc. etc.No. Disney killed it before they even released it and blamed the audience that they barely notified about the film.
A shame, for it was a great movie spoiled not only by poor marketing but dumb critics’ poor reviews. It was as good as any sci-fi fantasy adventure out there. Better than the last three Star Wars films released. Go see it and judge for yourself.
Congratulations Scott !!!You have now made the Quantum Leap from the Comics Page to the Editorial Cartoon of the Week !If Disney had put the effort into the Burroughs series like they did with the Narnia series, they could easily have guarnteed themselves a new Martian Theme park.
I dragged my husband along with me to see it. He had never read the books. We BOTH loved it! He went out and bought the book, so he could read what I had read at age 9. The movie critics are stupid, overpaid SNOBS who do not like Sci-Fi. For some reason, they think that they’re “above” the genre.

Sorry, sir. But to make up lost revenue due to poor attendance, the price of each ticket is now $10 million dollars.
