@jmattadams. I think you misunderstand. It’s a chart showing most arrogant (covering up) to least (science). God is saying Tebow is just slightly more arrogant than science. The level of arrogance is barely visible. THe artist is not saying Tebow is particularly arrogant – he’s saying the opposite.

What I don’t like is people presuming to know how God thinks. What if they’re totally wrong?

Great cartoon! The idea that a guy in Italy who covers up for child molesters should then have the right to lecture others on morals is incredible. I have wondered how Catholics feel about the wealthy church’s use of tithes to get child molesters and those who tolerated it and covered it up for years off the hook and out of jail.

Really? I always through it was more about saying thanks than trying to force others to live by his rules. Granted, he over did it. But I don’t see how that becomes bible thumping.

Irish, don’t go there. I live in Boston, and the reaction of the Church has been: (1) shut up. (2) We’re in charge. (3) We’re moving Cardinal Law to Rome to get him away from the cops. The Church has wronged MANY people, and actively protected the wrongdoers, moved them to new parishes where they wronged more people, and covered up their involvement. The Church has yet to undertake sincere penance for these actions. Some who offered apologies are now withdrawing them!Let the Church follow its own dicta. So far, not so much.

No, my problem is with people like you who try to downplay everything about the subject and acting like it was a short lived isolated period of history, and that it is over now. People like you who say ‘oh, the were post pubescent so it wasn’t pedophilia’ (how ‘bot you go have a non-consensual sexual relationship with a 13 year old girl, see if people call you a pedophile or not). People like you who bend over backwards to excuse the church for sheltering these sick monsters instead of veraciously going after and expelling them from your ranks. THAT’S my problem Eddie.

Wow, the ignorance here — the Catholic Church actually BELIEVES in human-caused climate change. Like it believes in evolution. Because both happens to be true, measurable, and proven by science. This is the big difference between Catholics and Evangelicals, and why Santorum was not a very good Catholic. Now, how they came up with the contraceptives stuff is beyond me, but there were dealing with opinions, not facts.
