Haven’t read or seen “Hunger Games”, just the “promos”, but every time we talk of our need for victory in Afghanistan, I think of that silly flick “Red Dawn”, and them noble American savage kids, the “Wolverines” defeating an invading force on THEIR homeland.

WRONG. Heinlein wrote about Saturn’s rings long before we had pictures of them… of a colony on Mars (which I still think could be viable, if we had the technology funded)…. and didn’t bother to include politics in his writing.Science fiction writers tend to dream about things that we take for granted in a future time before said technology hits the market. This toon is just about a movie made from a book (and not a good one if you have not read the book, from what reviews I’ve read) -PERIOD. Leave it at that, will you? Or should I find a good therapist for you so you can see that not everything revolves around politics?

Good “science fiction” is grounded in good science. Bad “social science” is based in fictions.
