Oh man, Fritz-Ann is incorrigable!

Poor Sam “Sugarlips” Catchem. There’s the possibility that Sam’s reading something into Fritz Ann’s “attention,” but it’s just too funny to watch him squirm this time! I’m with the rest of the MCU… I’m laughing here.

They can enjoy this good laugh until Blackjack shows up at the bank.

Even Blackjack thinks this is funny! ;D

It’s nice to see the MCU have an interlude of laughter, even if it is at poor Sam’s expense. I’m still not sure about Fritz Ann: is she just naturally exuberant and touchy-feely, or does she have some romantic feelings towards Sam? Or is it just the hunter-killer instinct, seeing her “prey” at bay and moving in for the “kill,” however innocently?

Poor Sam. The last panel reminds me of Gould’s work in the 70s when the characters would all enjoy a good laugh from time to time.

The colors look much more toned down. I like it.

Usually the comedy relief dosen’t come until the end of the story.

Great stuff! I love the characters we’ve been getting – Fritz Ann, Blackjack and Bogart the Roach are teriffic!(Just as Blaze/Hot Rize, Abner Kadaver, etc., etc.!)I really look forward to reading this strip every day!

oh no! i just had a TERRIBLE thought!! it didnt come to me until syd used the quotation marks for the word romance in his post on the dick tracy yahoo group.

remember mike said thered be a “bad romance villainess” in the strip soon, and that she would have something to do with one of the tracy characters??

what if the “swerve” here is that its FRITZ ANN!!!!!

we already have blackjack making his robberies to the chumbawumba tune which mike said would be the signature of the new villain (that they would have a “soundtrack” for their crimes.. whenever the song is heard is when the action would begin) but what if fritz ann is the bad romance villaness?!?!?

I can’t agree with any “improvement” statements regarding GoComics colorization. Don’t recall ever seeing Sam in that shade of green. Give me B&W dailies.

So, yesterday we had Tracy visiting his “snitch” – to get him to pass a word about the bank around the underworld, I assume. But, what word? He said something about “bait” – what is this bait they are going to use? Now, today we see him back at HQ and Sam and Fritz Ann are out somewhere. This story seems to be jumping around. I hope it ties up somehow.

Sam better get that heater in the car fixed – the sweat is flying!
