Obama is loving this because he doesn’t want to focus on the economy himself.

Here’s a statement from Santorums own website:-———————————————————————————————————————“the constitutional law professor boldly asserted, that “whenever we define a pre-viable fetus as a person that is protected by the equal protection clause or other elements of the Constitution, what we’re really saying is, in fact, that they are persons that are entitled to the kinds of protections that would be provided to a–a child, a 9 month old–child that was delivered to term.” He says children only have rights who are 9-months old and delivered at term. So, does that mean any child born before 9 months is not entitled to rights?”-—————————————————————————————————————-This not only has nothing to do with the economy, but it also proves how stupid Santorum is. Obama referred to a “pre-viable” fetus. Santorum refers to “any child born before 9 months.” Santorum’s argument is therefore fallacious.

Let’s talk about the economy. Under Clinton we had a surplus. (But you probably claim it was due to the republicans). Under Bush, thanks to his tax cuts for the rich, and his Iraq fiasco, that turned into a massive deficit (but you probably claim it was due to the democrats). When Bush left office, we were on the verge of a financial meltdown. That was averted and the economy is improving again. From what the republicans are saying, they want to return to the Bush era policies of cutting taxes for the rich, and removing regulations that protect our air and water.

historically – I’m thinking Eisenhower through Clinton – tax rates were higher for everyone, especially those who can afford to be generous! We have more people in need now than ever: seniors and children’s education in particular. Social support can’t be borne on the shoulders of faith-based organizations – as we’re seeing with current arguments on women’s rights….. ok off my soapbox!!

The CANDIDATES make speeches, endlessly harping on certain subjects, and the “media” pick up what they’re talking about and ask questions. The “economy” has turned positive, and the Republicans don’t want to touch it with a ten foot exaggerated falsehood that can be proven such. So, they go to their “religious right” base, which is of course “neither”.

This morning, Rush was attacking Obama, because Fish and Wildlife Service was going to issue a Native American Tribe a permit to kill 2 (that’s TWO) bald eagles for their religious ceremonies under the Native American Religious Freedom Act. Now that Obama had nothing to do with the matter doesn’t matter to Rush. HIs complaint? The Roman Catholic church is being “attacked”! Well, considering ranchers and other possible Catholics had been killing eagles, balds and goldens, for centuries before the ESA, I’d say they had their chance, took it, and drove the species nearly to extinction. Kind of like the way Rush treats truth. (Oh yes, Rush says the Constitution was NOT written by rich white guys!! Must have been those indentured servants and black slaves that wrote it??)

Great political cartoon! It’s a bull’s eye about what the GOP is about, fabricated issues. They have to make it up as they go along, hoping for a fragment of gain against a President that has risen far above the barrel scrapings they represent.

Actually they have but they will not be covered by the liberal media. As for the democrats, their plan, wreck it, take all the money from those that work and give it to those too lazy to work.

Here’s another nugget from Santorum’s website, part of his plan to deal with Iran:-—————————————————————————————————“•Develop a National Prevention Plan to prevent a severe terrestrial and space emergencies”-————————————————————————————————————-He’s almost as coherent as some of his supporters.

Yes, “who”, Rush is on the “local” radio on Saturdays, even on St Patricks’s day, (followed every Saturday here by a 15 minute TEAparty program.) If Rush said it, not so much a matter of criticism, as suspension of reality time.
