Very similar to a Gary Larson “Great Moments in Evolution” strip. Funny, though.

With out a filter, the poor guy gotta get out of there just to get some oxygen…

Third panel….“Hello my baaby, Hello my honey, Hello my ragtime gal!”

Its a short cycle between not changing the water and changing places.

So if we screw up our environment enough, we’ll see evidence of evolution? I think we’re on our way, then.

Next up – rockets to beyond the tank.

Clean the fish tank – right up there with changing diapers!

Wiley, thanks for that breath of fresh air! I actually got a gas(p) out of today’s strip.

Maybe he should poke his face into the tank and say"“Fish I am your god”…..

I guess this was on the eighth day?

Never realized our supposed slimordial ancestors first word was “Yes!” We have come a long way since then, evolving to the advanced state of “No!”

He could see, how beautiful was the tree.

James: Darwin mentioned that environmental point in Origins – because of the pollution of the industrial revolution, light gray moths which had matched the trees as protection, were already turning dark gray to keep up with the bark darkening from coal dust. Light gray ones were eaten before they reproduced. Not quite species, but major change. He also mentioned the variety of pigeons their fanciers had produced and suggested if it weren’t known they were the same species, they might well have been classified as being different ones.

Life always finds a way.

Oddly, there’s only one possible source of solids in that tank..material that has already passed through the fish. The tank, like the Earth, is a closed system. somebody tell the Republicans…

^Hmm, fish do poo in their environment, just like people, and the condensate percentage is rising.

That’s because when it comes to your favored class, power is all that matters. And the more power the faster is better; and if that means the destruction of the economy, human freedom, and civilization itself, so be it. Without some restraint the power motive will set cities ablaze..And here I thought that reality was self-explanatory. Guess not to some political factions.
