Do they just black out 1John 4:7-21 at WBC? You know, where it talks about God is love?

I wonder what that guy is hiding from himself? Could it be the same as many other self-loathing in-the-closet types?

the importance of the message is that “God Loves” is the cornerstone of christianity, but these self proclaimed christians CLEARLY don’t seem to get that.

good question on the last panel. if one of them dies, do they picket at their funeral? what if they find out something about the deceased that contradicts their values? hey, irs, revoke their tax exempt status or audit them and find out their donors. i mean, do they do any charitable work other than protesting across the country? do they help the poor, homeless, or sponsor a foreign child?

Hey, you can make up people for your deity to hate just like you made up your deity.

Actually, a lawyer friend of mine pointed out that the Westboro Baptist Church is a sneaky, if vile, approach to making money. They’re all lawyers, and very skilled ones who know EVERYTHING about First Amendment law. They come to locations where they expect to be attacked, get attacked, then sue the community, the police, and anyone else they can wangle into the courtroom. It’s not only disgusting, it’s a scam. That’s where their money comes from, and that’s why they take these bizarre stands. They came to my daughter’s (Catholic) school, expecting to rile up the students, but the administration kept the announcement to themselves so the students didn’t know and very cleverly put the whole school into lockdown, so the WBC found an empty parking lot, stood around for a while, and left.

If God hates ANYONE, he hates ice skaters who speed up or slow down in spins without changing the positions of their arms, people who try to boil cups of tea using nothing but ice cubes, inventors of perpetual motion or Faster-than-light machines or people who travel back in time to assassinate their own grandparents. HE WON’T EVEN ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO EXIST, never mind homosexuals, murderers, idolators, blasphemers, liars, thieves, and kids who mouth off to their parents. THOSE people, he tolerates (and probably loves, he made so many of them).

Editorial cartoons, newspaper articles, protest coverage, legal actions, etc. etc. gives them exactly what they most desire, publicity and limelight! Totally ignore them and watch what happens!!

Phelps and his whole crew should “demonstrate” their faith by going sky diving, and let “God” be their parachutes.

Not the religion that I was raised in, and not in most religions I know.

It’s just that in any religion, people use it to feel superior, or even hate others.

And very often, the first to suffer are the people who use that same religion to do evil.

Oh yes the ARE gods for you, and they reside in Washington, DC, and you love being lorded over by them. The most pathetic people imaginable are people who invest all of their heart, soul, and strength into shyster LAWYERS who promise the moon to mindless minions like YOU.
