By eschewing federal funds for his 2008 campaign, Mr. Obama was not limited by federal rules to the amount of money he could personally raise for his campaign. His departure from conventional fund raising has set precedent for all future presidential campaigns to raise as much cash as possible. His personal goal of raising one billion dollars in campaign funds for his re-election has become the new standard that all future campaigns will try to exceed. It looks like you can buy the presidency after all.
Sadly, in today’s world, a politician, of ANY party or persuasion in the U.S. system, without huge contributions, a PAC, or even SUPER PAC, is called, not only defeated, but never got off the ground. BTW, our local party precinct committee is required to register as a “PAC” with the state, and we have almost enough money accumulated to buy a dinner for four, at McDonald’s, so it ain’t all what people think.
Obama is protecting us from the possible election of the American Taliban. I’m proud of them…They are extremely dangerous to democracy because they always think they are right, even after they change there position. They won’t compromise, even for the good of the country. That makes them budding dictators. Conservatives are only out for themselves…They don’t even believe in repairing roads and infrastructure…there is no hope in their hearts, but they want to change everybody lives drastically…The believe their fellow Americans are there enemies..
I don’t mind Obama raising money… until he starts doing like Clinton did in ‘92 and ’96. Any Chinese Yuan in that pile of contributions, Barry? Then again, Barry’d probably get a pass on that, just like Clinton did.

Seven comments and not a “Lisa, you’re stupid and a liar” comment among them. Miracles do still happen!

I think she’s saying that the US is a top priority when it comes to Super PACS. In her crazy mind we need them.
