    I’m not sure about the “Arr” in Panel 6.Can’t make out one of the words in Panel 9.

    P1 – Annie, by Jay Maeder and Alan Kupperberg / TERRORISTS / And the Italian Police remain tight-lipped tonight about the arrests of another band of terrorist plotters. P2 – There is no comment on reports that an American undercover agent had a hand in breaking up the gang.P3 – Italy’s Amalfi coast … Playground of the rich … The sleek yachts of many nations anchor here.P4 – And pass softly in the night.P5 – Aboard one such … / The phony moviemakers are behind bars, their digger worm destroyed, but their mastermind remains at large in the world. / You’ll find him Oliver, someday!P6 – Aboard another … / All in ruins! What happened? Bah! Could Warbucks be behind this debacle? Arr (I think), Warbucks, I’ll find you someday!P7 – While, high above, a short-circuited flies cold and still. / Jay Maeder and Alan Kupperberg 4-28-02P8 – And so, our story nears its conclusion.P9 – As, back in Washington, another begins. / The Secret (something) is grateful for your recent services, Captain Santiago. Good wishes to you. / Thanks, Buster! Going to miss all you cabinet types. And say, good luck to you guys, for sure?

    As always, thanks David. I’d like to understand the reasoning behind this unreadable mess.

    Hey, David ! Here’s my squint;

    “Ah, Warbucks” and “high above, a short-circuited machine flies cold and still”

    I guess the reasoning behind this ‘unreadable mess’ is in the fact (I think) they first did this strip in .jpg, not thinking it would ever need to be magnified in the future. Maybe bandwith constrictions of the era, I dunno.. I know NOW that I should have saved all my early photos & scanned pages in the TFF mode, barn-door sized, but with 2Gb HD’s being ‘the biggest & best’ back in the day, who knew??
