However, just like with those faiths, latter-day “interpreters” changed the rules to their benefit. As we debate the 1% versus the 99% here, it’s worth noting that all these nice “religions” see the “priesthood” as the ultimate ruling class, and thumb on humanity’s rights. The commandments aren’t really law, those come later, page, after page, after egregious page, taking away all rights, freedom of speech, and freedom of individual thought.
The Old Testament simply IS the basis of all dictatorial regimes.

Mohammed changed to FORCE by BLOODY SWORD when his new religion was opposed in Arabia. The Koran is far from “egalitarian”…and Muslims live by the Koran…only those who obey it are considered fit to be first class citizens, and then only the men…the girls and women are more “equal” to cattle as possessions….subject to the moods of the men in all matters, oppressed and dictated to in daily living.-the Old Testament merely reports history as related to God’s Chosen People, the offspring of Abraham and Sarah, Isaac, and Jacob. Israel was not a “dictatorial regime”….it was a Theocracy under the Sovereign God of the scriptures, under God’s Mosaic Law and receiving and writing God’s Word to teach Israel and the Gentile world about God’s standards of right versus wrong. When Israelites obeyed God, they were blessed…when they disobeyed God, they were punished, as a father disciplines his children. That is not a human dictatorship as you claim.
