The idea of having a gazillion repub “debates” in order to get a lot of free TV exposure has not worked so well for the poor repubs. Every one of their “candidates”, when exposed to the sunlight of public examination, has looked horrible. So now they are down to Mitt, who looks inept and lies rather poorly, and Newt, who lies well, authored the infamous GOPAC memo responsible for polarizing our whole political process, and has ethical violations up the wazoo. It is a shame, because good competition would have made Mr. Obama work harder to be competitive.
Newt is a hypocritical blowhard and a sorry excuse for an “historian”, but he has done the nation a service by helping to expose Mitt Romney to the glare of national scrutiny early in the campaign season. Of course, the GOP establishment will still get Romney as their nominee, just as the Democratic establishment got John Kerry, instead of Howard Dean, eight years ago. And Romney makes Kerry look charismatic!
Honestly! Mitt’s father must not have ever told poor Mitt what my father told me, that when you wrestle a skunk, no one comes away smelling good. And when it comes to tangling with that Newt, Willard’s for sure wrestled himself a skunk! Then to that mess add a generous schmeer of santorum and OMG!Seriously now, many of Newt’s fans can clearly hear them libruls and pointy-headed intillektuals laughing at them and their truthy beliefs. As a result, they’re feeling deeply humiliated and blind angry and they’ll support just about anyone who can get those smarty-pants’ goat. And for sure that’d be ol’ Newter. He’ll may never make it to POTUS, but before then he can sure knot up some knickers!

Now you know why I wanted Newt to win in SC. I knew this would happen if he did.
