It always amazes me how they go on and on with absolutely no understanding of the science. Insisting it’s a scientific conspiracy. I recall a friend who argued with our chemistry professor about a chemical equation. The whole class was amazed that Wade didn’t realize it could only be solved one way. He argued until he was blue in the face. I may as well post the information prophylactically! Hah. http://www.ncdc.noah.gov/oa/climate/globalwarming.html

If only ANY of this were relevant to the liberal political claims that human activity is behind it, which is nonsense.

It’s global climate change, not local weather. That’s one thing the deniers can’t seem to wrap their brains around. Of course, if they did, their brains would be stretched SaranWrap thin

So let’s follow this from the beginning, shall we?

In hte 70’s they called it Global cooling. The conservatives claimed it was normal GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE, and they were called ignorant and selfish.

In the 90’s they called it global warming. The Conservatives called it normal GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE, and they were called ignorant and selfish.

Now it’s called GLOBAL CLIMATE CHAANGE….

The “Drill, baby, Drill” folks need to understand that the climate is a complex system and historical evidence from arctic and antarctic ice cores show that the prime evidence of a warming climate is a rise in CO2 levels. The unfettered use of fossil fuels has increased current CO2 levels to an unprecedented state. Human activity seems to be destabilizing the climate. The “Anti-Technology” folks need to understand that the climate is a complex system and there is evidence showing that Mars and Jupiter are undergoing global warming in the absence of any human activity. Solar and Wind power are unable to supply the needs of the world even if all personal vehicles were banned today.Safe Nuclear reactors can be built. Nuclear waste only means that you’ve got the “easy” energy out of it, not that it’s useless.

If the planet had seven billion T-Rex, (armed, keeping warm, and feeding on two-legged prey) mostly roaming the “populated” areas of the planet, well, deniers wouldn’t be around to deny much.

My Christmas wish (which I didn’t receive) was for enough snow to cover up my now brown lawn. So far this season, I’ve had to blow out my driveway exactly once. Outside that one time, there hasnt been enough snow fall to break out even the shovel. I live in Minnesota.

Amongst all peoples alive today, there are very many climate change sceptics, including those who do not accept anthropogenic changes. It is generally accepted that nearly all of them live in the USA.

Nope, wrong again. Were it not for human- caused global warming, we would be moving into a cooler era. Thus, they were right then AND they are right now. Your memes are hopelessly out of date — didn’t you hear that one of the leading denialists (an actual scientist) has changed his tune DESPITE being funded by the Koch brothers? The denialism is brcoming limited to the really stupid now — did you really think climate scientists ignored the sun? How stupid can you all possibly be? And making money? C’mon — we KNOW the denialists are funded by oil and coal money, it is well documented, but you think the other guys are getting rich? Got news for you: science works. Your blindness doesn’t. The hypothesis of anthropogenic global warming is not new, it dates back to 1896. It’s been discussed often since. Research started to indicate the current trend in the 1960s. So all your paranoid and ignorant theories are simply that, and no more.

That’s baloney. The earth is warming due to human activity. It has been shown in so many different scientific fields that the only way to deny it is to deny the data. The sun’s cycles have been ruled out as a cause of the recent warming.

Thanks fennec. Thanks for the article. Did you see the New Yorker article about Texaco’s environmental catastrophe in Ecuador? Disgusting.
