Then why do we keep voting for them? Why is everyone slaves to these maniacal parties? American government was never supposed to be this way. How can we say we’re a free country when we play serfs to these corrupt elitists?

Ironically despite both parties frequently referring to 1809-1940 time period as the good days and the American dream back then both parties were comparatively far left from today’s parties. Abraham Lincoln made many Marxist quotes. Unfortunately the government now seems to be more focused on maintaining law and order with blatant disregard to human life, or in some cases simply = rights. The free market concept globally has seen little success in terms of progression unless you count japan which has a relatively far left population to balance out lack of regulation

considering the republican opposition, i will gladly pull the lever for obama again.

i’ve been disappointed in his backbone and his constant cave-in to the right, but i never thought he was a bigot, a wack job, a religious zealot or a moron (my apologies to morons), which i’ve thought of all of the republican candidates in some way or form.

given obama, with an obstructionist left (peolsi is his worst enemy in government), and and obstructionist right, he has done a remarkably good job where he was able to.

i’m a registered republican, but i cant see voting for any of the current crop, they will just sell us out morrer and faster, and are far more likely to start a nuclear war.

I often think it might be nice to have a number of “political parties” with shared power, like Israel, but then I realize the hostile nut cases will still find a way to maintain control. What the new year, and the nation, need is a resolution to clean up our act, and not just keep supporting the economic, social, environmental, and “political” diaper filler.
