Why don’t they do do like the Tea Baggers do and put the pipe through his nose?

But… but… I thought this president wanted to create jobs? Isn’t that what he’s been telling us?

The FACT that in the return for short term employment, far more people will LOSE their jobs doesn’t seem to sink in. Add in that Texans and others are realizing this is another case of using eminent domain to seize PRIVATE land from individuals, to grant that land to CORPORATIONS- duh CANADIAN corporations, and the “brilliance” of this potential disaster climbs. The risk of spills really isn’t the major threat to the environment, and people’s rights and futures, but hey, when you get your own subsidiary to write the EIS, it’s all going to be above board, right? Just don’t take too many showers in a facility built at “cost plus” by KBR and Halliburton folks, we’re talking the same “ethical corporate ethic” here.

It’s not 18,000 jobs. The company already admitted that was a lie. It’s around 100. Do try to keep up… (I honestly think that keeping the largest aquifer in Nebraska clean is worth considerably more jobs than that. Killing its water supply would basically close down the entire state permanently.)

^Hmmm, we just had a gas pipeline come through, the people working the job moved along with the pipeline, about 800 jobs, and it was a bigger diameter line than Keystone. I’d bet there are at least a couple thousand TEMPORARY jobs involved, but more WILL be lost long term PERMANENT because of impacts.
