OK, I’ve been out of the country and maybe missed something in the news. Someone help me here. Is this a reference to “coming clean” (the good thing), “taking a bath” (a bad thing) or the Flanders and Swann song (“In the Bath”)?
But can anyone explain the Cialus Ad? Why are they sitting in separate bathtubs outside where there are no plumbing connections and the tubs are a style that can only be called “out-dated”?
Thank you for the update. But you’re wrong Bob. They could not only be called “old fashioned”, but also “Antique” (in a good way) or even “romantic”. So now, what is Cialas?
“denied by both Boner and Pelosi” AND probably denied by the wealthiest in Congress:
Warner, Rockefeller, Kerry, Issa, and McCaull. Estimates say there are 319 $Millionaires in Congress (GAO).
…Now ask yourself- how many were rich BEFORE they were elected. …These are the same people that vote on IRS Tax Breaks and Caps: Foreign Income, Interest, Dividends, Capital Gains, Municipal Bond Income, FICA, Itemized Deductions, etc.
One-Half of the people in the Top Tax Bracket (AGI) pay ZERO Income Taxes.
Jack, you let your own “slant” slant your listening skills. Though the report did take a right wing “tonality”, the fact remains the criticism was that ALL parties have abused this potential “loophole”, which was actually created by Republicans some time ago, but we’ll ignore that.
As to the “E.D.” component, what’s sad is the Educational Deficiency in America, and American politics. Folks who’ve yet to learn to tie shoe laces, so wear cowboy boots, can actually run for President.
the thousand page bills aren’t written by the congresspersons staff though, why have them do it when you have an army of lobbyist who already paid you off to let them write them for you.
Esalen Institute, Big Sur, CA has bathtubs like these that sit on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the ocean. Usually people fill them with cold water and lay in them after getting out of the hot mineral baths. It’s been almost 40 years since I’ve been there, but this cartoon brought it back like it was yesterday.
