Somewhere I have a picture of my Collie mix, Ranger, Calico cat, Calli, and Game Cock looking Rooster, Elvis all laying in a ball in the front yard sound asleep. The dog is on his side, legs extended, cat curled up between his legs laying against him and the rooster is perched on top of the dog. They were a neighborhood attraction for a whole summer.

Brought oup together, dogs and cats can co-exist quite peacefully.

Once a friend came over with her white husky who fell asleep on our back porch. I thought I would have some fun with the current cat. I picked her up and took her out to the dog. She hissed and spit and squirmed. Dog opened one eye, thought “cat” and went back to sleep. I then let the cat run off, of course. The dog had been brought up with cats.

We had a Siamese cat that trained all of the dogs in the neighborhood – from the Chihuahuas to the Dobermans.

It’s probably just me, but that cat looks a lot like Krazy Kat…

Cat’s name is Pickles, not Prickles.
