Is there a story to this one? The dates and name are pretty specific.

Wondering about the story myself. Looked up Reed; reference Walter Reed (Military hospital; veterans day?)

I thought it was a cartoonist who I don’t know. Bill Keane is the only one I recently lost. This was most obscure reference to Vets Day, but a sweet tribute from the puppy.

Harry’s given us a bit of a puzzle with this one. Very sweet sentiment, nicely drawn, but who is Reed?

The sentiment would be the same without the name and dates. I’m guessing Reed was a friend.

I also think this is about Bill Keane and his passing. Rest in peace, Mr. Keane.
