Reagan’s “trickle down” economic growth worked……and even GW Bush had more than 50 months of growth in jobs, etc.-but Obama/Democrat “trickle up POVERTY” is the danger the US citizens face today, as we see the economy shrinking and business in a wait-n-see mode, not expanding or growing, due to the 3 years of Marxism being injected by overspending and growing DEBT and by putting the FEDS in charge of industry after industry…..and even sending borrowed money we cannot afford to create jobs overseas….even to Finland to build $89,000 electric cars! -it is not the GOP that is ruining America….it is the “liberal” Democrats.

ummm, take a look at some of the most polluted areas of the world and you will find one thing in common-a weak or non-existent economic system. nobody advocates the deregulation of all environmental laws, but we do have to make choices for our future economic strength or else we will all become gross polluters just to survive. For example, a local company bought some nearby land to make a power plant that was going to bring in 300 jobs to my area. 1st, environmentalists fought with protests and court battles over the zoning. when that was lost, it was found that some rare-subspecies of some snail lived in a nearby pond, so the power plant withdrew its permit request. This is the kind of stuff that makes me cringe when I hear the Democrats say they are progressive…especially when you find out that they have investments in “green energy” and are making the government invest in them…

Sr., all the “teapublican” candidates call for doing away with EPA and essentially all effective environmental regulations, which means ALL of them. They won’t react until Homo Sapiens is the last remaining endangered species.

Those “60 straight months of economic growth” were driven by massive debt and leveraging by individuals, businesses and government. In 2005-7 over 8% of total GDP was the result of Americans pulling bubble equity out of their homes. Then the financial sector was creating Mortgage backed securities—-real, virtual, once-removed, twice-removed—-and raking in over 40% of ALL business profits in the US on fees for setting everyone else up to gamble on outcomes. That’s not economic growth.

And, your point? Bush gets credit for the illusion of the farce because if we had the same farce operating under Obama, he would get credit? It would be more apt to note that Clinton got credit for the beginning of the bubble/farce and it was under his watch that the policies were put in place that resulted int the massive leveraging. And, Bush II did nothing to stop the explosion of debt.

Saying “Reaganomics” brought growth is like saying Aspertame is sugar.

“..275 …liberal groups saying…raised taxes needed to balance the budget when the economy is slow “would risk tipping a faltering economy into recession…” …LIKE NOW???… We have 40 Million people paying ZERO Income Taxes and earn over $50K.
