Lucy has her crabbiness to keep her warm. ’Cause, brrr, it looks cold out there.

I recall reading that Schulz patterned Lucy after his first wife who was a bit of a ball-buster. Ol’ Sparky’s working some stuff out but good!

This is the first Sunday of a 6 week 1964-1965 Holiday arc of Sunday strips where you find a Happiness cartoon and quote in Peanuts, these quotes and pics later turned up in the book “Happiness is a Sad Song”.

Cute, but I’d have still kicked it to bits…and then maybe get Snoopy to pee on it, just for good measure!

Linus came through again. That’s a sure way to get even with a crabby older sister. And Lucy’s going to freeze if she doesn’t get her coat and mittens on.
