As a pastor, I’m not opposed to paying our share – and we do pay various taxes. However, I would not like churches to be singled from other not-for-profit organizations.

And there it is… money should be removed from politics… But the elected politicians would never move on that!!!!! The middle class is going broke because the $ystem is broken!

Now THERES an idea I can get behind. I mean, they are paid by OUR tax dollors, and most of them aren’t working anyway.

Please note Toles doesn’t assign any party affiliation, just states a fact. That personal wealth over the last three to four decades HAS played a much larger role in candidacy isn’t exactly indicating “citizen representation” from “average dudes”, in EITHER party! The sheer cost of campaigns, in dollars and productivity from Congress has reached ridiculous levels, and it needs to stop.

I think Tigger meant that 99% of Obama’s campaign contributions come from the rich – which of course is wrong, like most of what Tigger claims.

Wall Street donates more money to the Dems. BTW you won’t get much from the churches. Most of them use their offerings for those in need.

You’re right. I agree. And big money “Business Interest” has way too much “influence”. So, who has control? I don’t think its the politicians and I know its not “we the people”.
