Again folks, Jobs was a Buddhist. (Before you get that “all inclusive” from the bible folks, might check with Pat Robertson and other fundamentalists who mandate ONLY through Jesus are folks “saved”.)

Considering the fact that the October 17, 2011, issue of The New Yorker magazine had a similar theme with St. Peter holding an iPad, I’d have to say that Luckovich is, if not plagiarizing, copying from a long established, reputable and revered magazine.

“Yes, but since Buddism isnt even a religion he had to go somewhere.”

I’m wondering what your definition of “religion” is if it doesn’t include Buddhism. It has its metaphysics, its prayer practice, its ethical teachings… It’s true that many people practice Buddhist meditation techniques (profitably) without believing in the reincarnation cycle, or expecting to someday attain nirvana, but those are nonetheless defining characteristics of Buddhism proper.

A key is that Buddhism is based on philosophies to make the person and the world better, and choice. “Bible religions” are based on fixed, angry, punitive, commandments, laws, and RULES that, if you break them, you DIE!

alternatively; Everything has a potential to “improve” themselves, and the universes ARE more than a promise of “physical” being, or the dictates of a physical being. What IS reality and/or consciousness?
