Every winter while I lived in FL, People with kids would live in big cardboard boxs in back of the shoping centers. The owners would tell Me to run them off as I had the busness to keep the centers clean and the sand vaced up. When I asked why the law didn’t do this,I was told they wont do it and besides I could be fired for not having my men do it.

That’s fine as long as he’s willing to suffer in silence when misfortune strikes. in fact, I’m fine with all the heartless folks out there unplugging from the social safety net that the rest of us care about, as long as they agree to just suffer when their turn comes, as it almost inevitably will. Those of us who want to take care of each other and show some humanity can then at least do so in peace.

Doesn’t that seem like a reasonable compromise?

You call forcing people’s property from them to give to people who have done nothing to earn it “helping" them? You have a despicable sense of what it even means to help anyone. Truly helping anyone means educating them in order for them to be self-sufficient, and thus, THEY will be able to help others. Your idea of “help” is bestowing benefits without expecting any return for the investment, and creating helpless waifs out of ordinarily able adults. That isn’t “helping people.” That is diabolical.

Republicans need to show that they are interested in turning record corporate profits into more jobs & higher wages. So far they only seem to be interested in preserving the incredibly low tax burden on the highest earners. Those people are not ‘job creators’.

Demand is the only job creator! We won’t have any increase in demand until us working people feel more secure about our future.

Denying it doesn’t make it what I am saying false. You cannot even explain how government “helps” people BY making them self-sufficient. That simply does not happen as here. Government “helping” people has resulted in everything that I said above, and if you are FOR that, then you are for the subjugation of people, and making them beholden to the state. I’ve noticed too that you have deleted your post where you stupidly commented about the government “helping.” If you had a modicum of intellectual integrity, you would have left that up, whether it could stand up to anyone’s scrutiny or not.
