My “local” is a weekly, owned by a company just “over the hill” that publishes a daily. They run all the JBS and “right wing” letters and editorials and the “local” reporters haven’t figured out English syntax or even “journalistic style”, but I still take it to keep them “alive”. At least when I get the paper, I can read the stories, and glean enough to know who in the community to ask about what REALLY happened.
Righties like to call it the Liberal News. And of course Fox News is Right Wing Propaganda to the nth degree. But they all share something in common. It’s all Corporate Media. It’s profit-driven, just like everything else in this world. Including Health Care, which should not be.

The entire script for a typical local TV news show would fit into one and a half columns of a single page of a newspaper — on a good day.
