Clark, you need to read up on what level of income causes the 15% cap gains tax to kick in (under the Bush tax cuts). Resending those cuts is going to hurt the middle class (and retirees) much more than they effect the rich (where it only goes up 5%).

Start with the same percent on all income eliminating the lower capital gains rate & the eliminating the cap on Social Security taxes & you might have a point, except that 15% from the billionaire might delay his purchase of that new Jaguar by a week & 15% from his gardener’s assistant might mean hunger.Anyone who says life can be fair is running a con or has been conned. To see who’s running the con, follow the money. Redistributing the wealth with torches & pitchforks is as likely to produce “fair” as a flat tax. I’d prefer Reagan’s tax increase.

I remember the Scrooge McDuck money bath. I read the comics as a kid…but if memory serves me right, he took a bath in an old fashioned tub, not a swimming pool with laps. Is this part of the ironic commentary of millionaire/billionaire excess?
